The Themis SIM Discovery Management Tools
The SIM Discovery Manager provides a retrospective review of all profiles and information gathered by the SIM Administrator Console. The Discovery Manager provides the capability to go over extensive levels of historical data, such as which individual or machine has accessed what files and at what time. For instance it can determine which USB drives have been attached to which machines and can even pinpoint their serial
numbers.

A common use of the SIM Discovery Manager would be to determine which specific users had accessed a file or fileshares which contained important confidential
information. The SIM Administrator Console would have collected the data over the network as part of its regular scanning process and the SIM Discovery Manager would now show who had accessed the file or files in question. All this information on common files and file activity is stored and formally prepared in a report format, which can then be checked prior to retrieving the original profiles if necessary.

The SIM Discovery Manager is like the SIM Administrator Console in that it is available to be used on a portable device as well as from the same folder as where the SIM is installed.

The SIM Finder and SIM Comparer
The SIM finder is a powerful retrospektive search tool that in a fast and precise way finds
all relevant security or asset inforamtion across all the estate profiles The SIM Comparer is another powerful retrospective analysis tool that simply has the capability
to compare historical data provided by the SIM Administrator Console and SIM Discovery Manager. This function can be used to assess differences in User or Machine behavior. You would have the ability to compare a specific User’s Internet History over a period of time, or to see how many times a specific USB is introduced into the network and which machines it was used on. This information when coupled with the information
already retrieved via the SIM Discovery Manager will provide an exact snapshot in time of a User or Users activity.
